Binibining Pilipinas 2022 — New Queens Finally Reigned
Binibining Pilipinas finally crowned its new breed of queens as it will pave the way to represent the country in different pageants around the world.

On Sunday’s glamorous coronation night, July 31 at Smart Araneta Coliseum, Binibining Pilipinas named its new sets of queens.
The pageant has crowned Nicole Borromeo of Cebu as Bb. Pilipinas International; Roberta Angela Tamondong of San Pablo Laguna as Bb. Pilipinas Miss Grand International. While Gabrielle Basiano of Samar as Bb. Pilipinas Supercontinental; and Tacloban City’s Chelsea Fernandez as Bb. Pilipinas Globe.
Along with the four queens, both beauties of Rizal such as Herlene Nicole Budol of Angono got the first-runner up while Stacey Daniella Gabriel of Cainta as the second runner-up. Out of 40 candidates, these six beauty queens got the upper hand for the titles.
The last year’s winners take their farewell walk and are crowned this year’s Binibining Pilipinas Queens. Borromeo takes on the legacy of Bb. Pilipinas International from 2021 winner Ms. Hannah Arnold and Ms. Samantha Panlilio passed the crown to Tamondong as Bb. Pilipinas Grand International.
Arnold and Panlilio are expected to compete in the upcoming international pageants and challenge to secure victories for the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Cinderella Faye Obeñita crowned Basiano as Bb. Pilipinas Supercontinental 2022 and Maureen Montagne passed her Bb. Pilipinas title to Fernandez.
The pageant also gave special awards. The crowned Bb. Pilipinas Super Continental Gabrielle Basiano of Samar got the Best in Evening Gown and Best in Swimsuit. Also, the First runner-up Herlene Budol of Angono finished her beauty queen journey as the winner of many special awards. She is the Bb. Pizza Hut, Bb. Kumu, Bb. Silka, Bb. Shein and Bb. World Balance
Tacloban’s Chelsea Fernandez got Bb. Ever Bilena, and Iloilo City’s Karen Laurrie Mendoza as Bb. Moist Dianne Shampoo
Other Highlights of Binibining Pilipinas 2022
The Binibining Pilipinas coronation night was full of royalties as Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2016 First runner up Nicole Cordoves hosted the pageant, as it was the first all-female hosting tandem in Bb. Pilipinas.
While 2020 Miss Grand International First Runner-up Samantha Bernardo along with Kapamilya Heartthrob Edward Barber both manage and keep up the chatroom with the online viewers around the country and around the world.
The magical night has beautifully ended by popular Filipino boy group SB19, which gave an awesome P-pop-themed performance for the season. The boy group hit the stage with their iconic songs until the final round. SB19 spoiled the crowd through their popular hits such as SLMT and Bazinga.
Newly-crowned Bb. Pilipinas International 2022, Nicole Borromeo will represent the country at the 61st edition of the Miss International pageant in 2023 and the three other queens will also be expected to compete in their respective international pageants later this year.
