Binibining Pilipinas bearers continue to dominate the international beauty pageants

In just a span of five weeks, Binibining Pilipinas 2021 bearers bagged three of the most prestigious international beauty pageant titles. With this, the organization’s legacy continues to dazzle in success.

Three of their bearers just proved that the “P” in the Philippines stands for “powerhouse” of beauty pageants.

The history-maker: Alexandra Faith Garcia

The first one who set the winning streak is no other than Miss Aura International 2021 Alexandra Faith Garcia. The former Binibini 29 made history as the first Filipina to both join and win the title. The pageant, formerly known as Miss Kremer International, made its debut in 2006.

Last October 23, Faith topped 44 other contestants at the Rixos Sungate Resorts in Antalya, Turkey. Her charismatic beauty and queenly aura stunned everyone during the competition.

Moreover, her shimmering silver gown matched her grace. Also, it induced the golden sash and crown to perfectly fit her.

Before winning the title, her name was no stranger to the pageantry world. Faith already joined Mutya ng Pilipinas in 2014 and Bb. Pilipinas, both in 2014 and 2021.

The ‘Cinderella’ journey of Cindy Faye Obeñita

Following the thread is Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella ‘Cindy’ Faye Obeñita. The pride of Cagayan de Oro claimed the title of Miss Intercontinental 2021 in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt.

Cindy is the second Filipina to win the Miss Intercontinental crown after Karen Gallman. In fact, her elegance and simplicity made her stand out.

Also, she did her homework— blowing everyone’s mind with her jaw-dropping answer.

Going back to her Binibining Pilipinas days, she captured everyone’s heart with her ‘Cinderella’ journey. Despite being the wildcard candidate, she proved that she could make the cut. Deservingly, she bagged one of the titles.

The sleek triumph of Maureen Montagne

Just recently, Maureen Montagne has kept the country’s domination as she secured the Philippines’ third consecutive crown, winning the Miss Globe 2021.

From the pre-arrival up to the coronation night, the hot picks of the pageantry pages cannot be complete without her name.

She is the second title-holder from the Philippines to bag Miss Globe, following the first triumph of Ann Colis in 2015. Her tantalizing presence and sultry pasarela walk screamed perfection.

In fact, before winning the Miss Globe title, the Filipino-American beauty already proved to other candidates that she’s the one to beat. She landed first-runner up in its pre-pageant activities: Head to Head, Miss Bikini, and People’s choice award.

Prior to her Binibining Pilipinas venture, she had already joined other beauty pageants. In addition to her Miss Globe title, she was also first runner-up in the Miss Eco International 2019.

Another supremacy yet to come?

While every pageant enthusiast buzzes with the consecutive crowns, more international pageants will be held in the nearest future.

Next in line is Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2021 Samantha Alexandra Panlilio, who is set to compete on December 4, 2021, in Phuket, Thailand.

In the last edition, our very own Samantha Bernando finished 1st runner up.

Meanwhile, Miss International Foundation announced the cancelation of the Miss International 2021 pageant due to health and safety issues brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2020, the pageant also canceled its 60th edition due to the same consideration.

However, the postponement will give our reigning Bb. Pilipinas International 2021, Hannah Arnold, more time to focus on her advocacy and prepare for the competition.

As Filipinos huddle together to watch the sparkle of beauty pageants, the succeeding domination of our beauty queens also means the whole world for us.

Of course, kudos to María Stella Márquez-Araneta’s Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. for producing remarkable queens all throughout the years. After all, this pageant has become the biggest and most anticipated beauty event in the Philippines.
