Beauty Queens spotted at the Binibining Pilipinas 2023 applications
The national pageant season is once again alive as pageant hopefuls have flock to Araneta City to submit their applications for Binibining Pilipinas 2023. With the deadline set on January 31, a mixture of old, new, and exciting faces has revealed themselves, much to the delight of the fans.
Trying to get a shot in making it as an official candidate, here are some of the ladies who are hoping to become a Binibini.
Comeback Queens
For some of these applicants, this isn’t their first Binibini rodeo. Fighting for another chance at one of the crowns, a former Binibini candidate is making a comeback.
After placing in the Top 12 last year, Bataan’s Anna Valencia Lakrini is hoping that this year will be her year. This 25-year-old Filipina-German has a degree in Nutritional Science. Starting her pageant journey with the beauty camp, Kagandahang Flores, she’s now with Aces and Queens.
Cross-Over Beauties
Speaking of switching, the following are taking their chances by jumping from one national pageant to another.
These includes Miss Philippines Earth Alumna Kiaragel Gregorio, Gianna Llanes, and Sofia Galve. Kiara was Miss Philippines Earth-Air in 2016, Gianna was Miss Philippines Earth-Water in 2020 while Sofia was Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism in 2021.
Hoping over from Miss World Philippines are batchmates Trisha Martinez, Lea Macapagal and Andrea Sulangi. All competed in 2021, however only Lea and Trisha finished in the Top 15 with the latter being crowned as Miss Tourism Philippines 2021.
Lastly, after failing to conquer the Universe, Mirjan Hipolito and Angelica Lopez are aiming to conquer a new territory. Hailing from Miss Universe Philippines, both of them finished in the semifinals; Mirjan in 2021 while Lopez in 2022.
Showbiz royalties to potential beauty queens
For a pageant girl, coming from a different industry might be overwhelming but these neophytes are hoping to make a great first impression.
As an example, generating quite the buzz among the pageant circle is the participation of Jessie Salvador. The 25-year-old Artist happens to be the sister of Actress Maja Salvador.
Other notable applicants with showbiz background are former ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ teen housemate Reign Parani as well as Viva Artist Xena Ramos.
It is important to note that Binibining Pilipinas has both online and in-person applications which means there are far more names we haven’t heard from yet. With the screening happening in just a few days, it’s very exciting to see how things will unfold.
