Things they appreciate as a pair

When asked about things they are grateful for in their pairing, Barbie immediately pointed out that she gained a friend in David. She noted that they are a good support system for each other, especially when one is feeling tired.

One of the reasons I’m thankful dahil may BarDa is because I gained a friend. Masasabi ko na totoong kaibigan din talaga si David at nagtutulungan din talaga kami. [Isa pa,] pareho kaming nagiging power bank ang isa’t-isa pagka medyo pagod na.”

Barbie added how she feels to have a colleague like the Pambansang Ginoo.

“Nakakatuwa lang to work with someone like David kasi naiintindihan niya ‘yung katrabaho niya. And most of all, maalaga siya sa leading lady niya.”

For his part, David responded: “I’m thankful for Barbie. With the personality of Barbie, aalagaan mo naman talaga eh. It just comes naturally.”

About plans for the summer and upcoming projects

After the hit series Maria Clara At Ibarra concluded, both Barbie and David went on their vacations. Barbie visited the United States, whereas David was everywhere in the Philippines while juggling work commitments and free time. Thus, we were curious about how they plan to tackle the approaching summer.

“Work na! Kailangan nang bawiin ‘yung gastos,” Barbie quipped. Aside from her US trip, she shared with her followers that she attended her first-ever music fest.

Consequently, David took over to elaborate on their upcoming projects.

“We’re currently shooting a movie and we have a teleserye this coming June. Shooting lang on June ha. ‘Yung showing, baka next next year [na],” he said.

Meanwhile, Barbie let slip that many other offerings are in the works for their supporters. She also confirmed the pushing through of their trip to Vienna in Austria to shoot their pilot film together. Producers announced their big-screen collaboration earlier this month.

“Tuloy ‘yung Vienna. Tuloy na tuloy po. Abangan niyo na lang po ‘yung ibang details.” Barbie’s clarification aims to address rumors of cancellation arising from conflicting schedules.

Barbie and David describe each other through theme songs

At the end of the ambush interview, Barbie and David picked a suitable theme song for each other. Barbie, who was quick to answer, replied:

“Theme song ko sa kanya [ay] Chinito [ni] Ms. Yeng Constantino.” The 2013 smash hit sings from the perspective of a woman doting on a man with small, almond-shaped eyes.

On the other hand, David seemed a bit shy about his choice. He simply voiced, “Ah, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?” before jokingly walking away.

The actor was referring to another 2013 romantic megahit by singer Zia Quizon. With a mix of playfulness and sincerity in the lyrics, the composition discusses unrequited love.

Lastly, David took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the fans. He also promised to serve as a source of motivation for all.

“I wanna thank all our supporters from BarDa to FiLay, David Troops to Barbienatics, lahat sila nandiyan every single day. Don’t worry, gagalingan pa namin to serve as an inspiration, hopefully, to everybody,” he declared.

With all these exciting developments, the future is clearly bright for BarDa. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for them next!
