BarDa gets intimate with fans in ‘The Way You Look At Me Thanksgiving’
Fans of BarDa had the best night meeting Barbie Forteza and David Licauco up close and personal during The Way You Look At Me Thanksgiving.
Last April 18, the breakout pairing reunited for a dinner party at the Le Reve Pool and Events Venue, Quezon City. They spent the intimate night together in the comfort of their ever-dedicated supporters. The gathering aimed to celebrate the success of The Way You Look At Me music video starring the two.
In the MV, multi-awarded pop-rock band Ben&Ben covered the piece first released by Christian Bautista almost a decade ago. Meanwhile, Barbie and David led the modern revival and redefined the hit love song as two lovers with an aching connection.
With the fans showering the duo with massive support, the MV garnered 1.3 million views and counting. BarDa marked the milestone in an event dedicated to their admirers.

Aside from Barbie and David, the extravaganza also welcomed the presence of other personalities. In particular, newbie Sparkle artist Shuvee Etrata and Kapuso singer Christian Bautista were there to join the party. The two had their respective appearances and played special roles in the music video.

Thanksgiving attendees were in for a treat as Christian Bautista took over the microphone for a soulful performance. He sang live The Way You Look At Me, his original track launched in 2004. The dubbed Asia’s Romantic Balladeer also recently celebrated 20 years in showbiz.

Organizers prepared several treats to guarantee the enjoyment of the fans. Hence, one game required Barbie and David to reenact some scenes from their first MV together. Apart from the kilig skits, the most memorable was when the onscreen couple cried on the spot for an impromptu dramatization.

After a series of fun games, the visitors were all eyes on the intimate screening of The Way You Look At Me MV. There was also an exclusive viewing party of behind-the-scenes footage showing unreleased clips during the MV making. Consequently, fans witnessed the candid reactions of Barbie and David while watching.
BarDa’s version of the MV’s ending
As a finale for the event, the host asked BarDa to decide and enact the ending for The Way You Look At Me MV. Thus, for their version, David knelt and offered Barbie a ring as a promise of marriage. Barbie then whispered her response, and the scene concluded with them hugging each other, erupting the crowd cheers and applause.
Before ending the night, all visitors had photo opportunities with Barbie Forteza and David Licauco. They also received gifts from their fans which they unwrapped immediately.
