Barbie Forteza, David Licauco topbill first big screen project
Breakout love team BarDa composed of Barbie Foreza and David Licauco, will star in their first-ever project on the big screen.
The official account of Sparkle GMA Artist Center revealed the announcement on Monday. According to its post on Twitter, the actors will headline a movie this year.
“#BarDa on the big screen?! Another first for Barbie Forteza and David Licauco. Catch them in a film together this 2023. Here they are with Director Cathy Camarillo!” Sparkle wrote. It also shared pictures of Barbie and David striking a pose with their film director.

Based on an Inquirer report, Pocket Media Productions will produce Barbie and David’s upcoming movie. The news portal added that the production process for the project has recently commenced, citing 24 Oras as saying.
Meanwhile, further information regarding the movie’s title, plot, and release date has yet to be revealed. Other artists that will be part of the cast also remain undisclosed as of writing.
Barbie and David’s pairing first catapulted to extreme success as Fidel and Klay in the hit portal fantasy series Maria Clara At Ibarra. After the show concluded, the two immediately reunited for more projects under GMA Network.
For instance, Barbie and David reunited for the drama anthology series Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko. They also starred in Ben&Ben’s music video for The Way You Look At Me. The band’s rendition was tributed to the song’s 20th anniversary, originally sung by Christian Bautista.
Before Maria Clara At Ibarra, Barbie and David previously collaborated for Mano Po: The Family Fortune and Heartful Cafe.
