Alessandra de Rossi, Empoy Marquez set to star in new romantic movie
Former onscreen lovers Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez will reunite for a new project six years after Kita Kita.
In 2017, de Rossi and Marquez top-billed the hit romantic-comedy film Kita Kita. With PHP 320 million in revenue, it overtook the record from Heneral Luna as the highest-grossing Philippine independent film. It was also critically acclaimed worldwide, prompting international adaptation by Indonesian filmmakers two years later.
On Friday, Prime Video released its teaser poster for an original offering Walang KaParis. The movie will reprise the collaboration of de Rossi and Marquez from the same creators that catapulted their love team.

According to a Manila Bulletin report, Walang KaParis will revolve around the Paris-based Filipino artist Jojo (as played by Marquez). Although he had several past relationships, he miserably hopes to fill the void in his life caused by the puzzling muse of his paintings.
Over the years, Jojo searches for the woman with an unknown past and identity through every girl he meets. In an unexpected turn of events, Maria (de Rossi) suddenly appears, claiming she’s the mysterious muse in the paintings.
On the other hand, Sigrid Andrea Bernardo will direct Walang KaParis. She also helmed Kita Kita, which propelled the popular tandem of Marquez and de Rossi, known as Alempoy.
Meanwhile, singer KZ Tandingan will also sing the theme song for Walang KaParis. In 2017, she revived the song Two Less Lonely People in the World for Kita Kita. Her cover gained impressive reception and clinched the second spot on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart.
Walang KaParis will exclusively stream on Prime Video beginning March 23 in 240 countries and territories worldwide.
