Filipina actress Nadine Lustre and filmmaker Mikhail Red will team up once again for another upcoming horror offering, Nokturno.

Before Nokturno, Lustre and Red marked their first collaboration last year for Deleter, an entry for the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival. The movie was an absolute box office success, earning applause both from the public and critics.

In fact, Deleter reigned against other entries in the renowned film festival. It swept various awards, including Best Picture, Best Cinematography, and Best Actress for Lustre. On the other hand, Red got the title of Best Director.

Due to Lustre and Red’s burgeoning reputation in the horror genre, many demanded they join forces for another project. This manifestation came true as work began for Nokturno.

What to know about Nokturno

Red announced two projects on Thursday, one of which is Nokturno. According to ABS-CBN News, it tackles “a supernatural curse that haunts a rural family and the daughter who left to live overseas. Its only confirmed cast member is Lustre thus far.

Meanwhile, the second movie is titled Helel, another horror piece. Set in the near future, it will depict a Filipina astronaut “who encounters the devil.”
