VP/Tech: Mobile Photowalk in Davao with OPPO Reno 8T
Maayong Adlaw Davaoneos! Let’s recap last week’s VP Tech event. OPPO Philippines invited Village Pipol for a 2-Day Mobile Photowalk in Davao City and Davao De Oro.
With the Oppo PH Team and media friends, we had the privilege to test the camera performance of the new OPPO Reno 8T.
MesAnita and Dusit Thani in Davao City, and Lubi Plantation in Davao de Oro provided mesmerizing and eco-breathtaking sceneries for us to capture.
Personally, I’m thrilled to revisit the city for the 10th ++ time. It holds a special place in my heart due to many first experiences, and this time, it’s Davao De Oro.
In this VP Tech Update, we’ll focus on the photos we captured with Reno 8T’s 100MP AI Portrait Camera. Let’s see if it lives up to its promise of being #ThePortraitExpert.
DAY 1 at Dusit Thani and Mes Anita, Davao City: LOW LIGHT TO NIGHTTIME CAMERA PERFORMANCE
We arrived in Davao City at 3:00 in the afternoon, heading straight to Dusit Thani, where the Oppo team generously provided a nice hotel room for us to rest before our official meetup and dinner at Mes Anita.
Davao’s peaceful ambiance is a refreshing escape from the chaotic life in Metro Manila.
Around 7 or 8 in the evening, we reached Mes Anita, meeting more amazing people on this trip. Mes Anita is truly magnificent, offering a perfect spot to test OPPO Reno 8T’s portrait camera.
Interestingly, the OPPO Reno 8T camera delivers satisfactory low-light to nighttime photo performance. Its night mode enhances photo quality, especially when capturing people as the subjects.
DAY 2 at Dusit Thani’s Lubi Plantation in Davao de Oro: DAYTIME CAMERA PERFORMANCE
Excitement fills me as it’s my first time in Davao de Oro. We arrived at Dusit Thani’s port around 10:00 AM and took a private ferry to Lubi Plantation.
Seeing the sea again is refreshing and calming. I appreciate brands like OPPO for inviting us media on trips like this; it feels more like leisure than work.
Aside from the delicious food provided by Dusit Thani, we had an eco-breathtaking tour of the entire area. Trying water activities like jetskiing was really fun; thanks, OPPO!
Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation is a breath of fresh air and an ideal place for a mobile photowalk. Here are some photos captured using OPPO Reno 8T’s 100MP portrait camera.
Besides the impressive 100MP main camera for clear and vibrant shots, the AI scene recognition technology is fantastic. It accurately detects the environment and adjusts settings for effortlessly stunning photos.
MICROPHOTOGRAPHY
The microscope-like 40x Microlens of Reno 8T amazed us, revealing tiny details of objects. Truly magnificent!
FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY
One of my favorite parts of the Davao trip was the delicious food they offered. Here are some mouthwatering shots.
VP TECH VERDICT: OPPO Reno 8T offers various shooting modes, including Extra HD, Dual View, Expert, Panoramic, Time-lapse, Text Scanner, and Slow-mo. Its photo output for daytime and nighttime photography is satisfactory.
If you’re a traveler, mobile photography enthusiast, or social media user seeking stunning photos, the OPPO Reno 8T might be the one for you. It retails for PHP 18,999 at authorized OPPO stores and dealers nationwide.
Once again, thank you OPPO for the memorable experience and another first in Davao City and Davao de Oro.
