Rev. Fr. Ferdinand S. Santos really exists. However, people are asking if we are seeing authentic photos of the viral Filipino priest. He is a faculty member of St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami, Florida, U.S.A
On August 30, photos of Fr. Santos went viral. This is after they caught the attention of netizens for his stunning looks. Of course, they are fast when it comes to things like this.
Meanwhile, a netizen, identified as Carlos Babiano, believes that the viral photos of Fr. Santos were fake. On Facebook, he wrote,
“Moral of the story: EXAMINE THOROUGHLY EVERYTHING YOU SEE ON SOCIAL MEDIA. “

“THIS IS FR. FERDIE’S AUTHENTIC APPEARANCE.
“Recently there is a hype on social media about a “handsome-looking young priest” or “celebrity-looking priest” bearing the said name going viral. However, his younger brother, Jeremiah, told me that those pictures circulating over social media were edited to make Fr. Ferdie’s face look young.
“Now, they are trying to track the source of those edited images.”

Sadly, Fr. Ferdinand Santos recently admitted he got depressed with the instant celebrity status. He has already thought of going back to the US to avoid what suddenly happened to him.
In an exchange of text messages, Fr. Ferdi said that he came home to serve the poor, to live in a very poor parish, and to be poor –
“…that was what I discerned God wanted from me for more than a year now.”
