Vice Ganda is ready to ‘Rampa’ back in music scene with new single
Ace comedian Vice Ganda is preparing to conquer the music stage by launching her approaching comeback single, Rampa.
Local music label Star Pop made the announcement on Tuesday through its Instagram page. Sharing a short trailer clip, the caption teased “She is back. She is VICE GANDA.”
Additionally, according to the post, the new song will be out on May 1 and is titled ‘Rampa.’ In Filipino, the term is an action word meaning to walk glamorously and confidently. The phrase is also often used in the context of fashion or beauty competitions.
Vice Ganda to launch comeback single ‘Rampa’
Known as the Unkabogable Star, Vice Ganda is not only famed for her box-office hits and as the mainstay host of the It’s Showtime. She has also explored her musicality beginning in 2011 through her debut album Lakas Tama with eight songs and three revival pieces.
Then, in 2013, Vice Ganda’s game-changer came in the form of her dance extended play Karakaraka. The hit track in collaboration with local rapper Smugglaz achieved mainstream success and gained widespread acclaim from audiences.
On the other hand, other popular releases of Vice Ganda include Whoops Kiri, Boom Panes, and Push Mo ‘Yan Te. She also performed several film soundtracks like Ang Kulit (The Super Parental Guardians) and Gigil si Aquo (Gandarrapido: The Revenger Squad).
Before the announcement of Rampa, Vice Ganda had just concluded her VGful Concert Tour held in the United States and Canada. She will host another comeback concert at the Big Dome on June 2, through Your Memejesty: Queen VG.
