‘The Umbrella Academy’ returns in June!
The intriguing Hargreeves siblings are back! As they travel to the wrong timeline, new adventures await. On top of that, they find themselves with a bunch of other new characters. The question here is, are we about to witness the world to its end, AGAIN?
Following its two successful seasons, Netflix’s American Superhero Television series The Umbrella Academy announced the release date of its third season. The news circulated fast as they announced it on their official Twitter account. On June 22, 2022, which is a month from now, we are all gonna be watching new episodes of the much-awaited series.
The actors of the series Aidan Gallagher, Elliot Page, Robert Sheehan, Tom Hopper, Emmy Raver-Lampman, David Castañeda, and Justin Min who plays the Hargreeves siblings have also posted on their social media accounts to announce their comeback. Fans have also expressed their excitement to see the cast of The Umbrella Academy once again (We sure are!).
In the last episode of season two, the siblings traveled to an alternative universe of the Umbrella Academy. Yet again, they see themselves in an unexpected turn of events. They saw their supposedly dead father, the human form of their ghost brother, a levitating green cube, and another set of siblings. It’s like them but not really… if that makes sense. And apparently, they call themselves The Sparrow Academy.

The Umbrella Academy is based on the comic book series produced by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá. Yes, you’ve read it right! The lead vocalist of the iconic rock band My Chemical Romance, Gerard Arthur Way has created this gem.

In an interview at a Comicon, Gerard opened up about missing comics and how he always loved reading and making them. Apart from being a singer, he is also a comic artist at heart. Hence, making the Umbrella Academy has been his way of regaining his passion for creating comics.
