THE ARMY WASN’T READY: James parties with BTS for Carpool Karaoke
We asked for golden content and we got it! James Corden featured the international superstars BTS for Carpool Karaoke. They sang songs from their new album, Map of the Soul: 7 and covers of other artists. Members V, Jungkook, Jimin, J-Hope, Jin, SUGA, and RM definitely looked like they had fun. They even had the chance to create their own inside jokes!
RM serves as BTS’ translator.
Corden admitted that he doesn’t know how to talk Korean. Thankfully, RM served as the whole group’s spokesperson and translator. Even when the boys don’t speak that much English, the whole video remained entertaining. They had bits of Korean (and even, English) comments that had viewers rolling in laughter.
RM, then, shared that he taught himself how to talk in English with the hit TV show FRIENDS. This caused Namjoon, Jin and Suga comment that they, too, watched the show. Although they enjoyed watching the series, it apparently didn’t help with their English skills. To make the interaction less awkward, Jin made the other boys laugh with James and RM with a hilarious comment:
“I don’t know what he said, but let’s laugh.”
James is officially BTS Jimin’s Papa Mochi.
Jin never misses a day when he called himself handsome. Well, he’s not wrong. He really is Mr. Worldwide Handsome. When he told his nickname to the people inside the car, Corden remarked that he had the same nickname at school. Of course, Jin retaliated:
“You a joker guy!”
Jimin got Mochi as his nickname during their debut due to the squishiness of his cheeks when they were still young. For some reason, Jimin gave James the nickname Papa Mochi. Of course, with the power of ARMY, it trended worldwide in just a matter of minutes after they published the video.
“I’m so proud of you, Baby Mochi!”
“I missed you, Papa!”
BTS only argues over dumplings.
When Corden asked who would be most likely to argue in the group, everybody pointed at Jimin and V. Both of them looked dramatically outside the window as they reminisced over the reason of most of their arguments: dumplings.
“Not my little Mochi. My little Mochi doesn’t argue. My little Mochi doesn’t argue about dumplings!”
“Papa! I’m hungry, Papa!”
Will James Corden join the boys’ world tour?
“I want to see Papa Mochi dance.”
James brought the boys to a Zumba dance class and well, they crushed it. Of course, BTS can’t pass the opportunity to teach some “Brentwood Wives” a part of their routine. Jimin walked to the front and taught a few steps. However, some of them just couldn’t keep up with the international superstars.
All in all, James Corden is ready to join BTS. And, the boys are still fab as ever. Kbye, let me replay the video.
