A lot of Pinoy movie-goers got disappointed when Columbia Pictures announced the delay in the showing of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’

But it seems that Tencent is giving Marvel fans a reason to rejoice. Spider-Man is swingin’ into the PUBG universe to tie into No Way Home. According to the ad, the popular neighborhood superhero will find himself in Krafton’s mobile battle royale game soon.
The collaboration is allegedly to celebrate the movie premiere with Spider-Man-related in-game items. The Chinese gaming company announced that the partnership will take place on January 2022, with an update.
Tencent Head of PUBG Mobile publishing Vincent Wang said,
Spider-Man is one of the most beloved characters both in the superhero world and more widely in popular culture.
The opportunity to team up with Spider-Man: No Way Home means that we can bring the excitement and anticipation of the film and character to PUBG Mobile, something we’re certain our players, and Spider-Man fans, are going to love.
The team-up with Sony Pictures Entertainment is the latest to come to the battle royale. Previously, PUBG also worked with Riot Games and Netflix to bring characters from the recently released League of Legends animated television series, Arcane, into the game
An executive from Sony Picture also expressed his excitement regarding this collaboration. He said that it will allow fans globally to expand their engagement with this superhero.
Sensor Tower claimed that PUBG Mobile was the highest-grossing mobile game worldwide for the fourth time this year for November 2021. It was able to generate $254 million with an almost 46 percent jump.
Meanwhile, PC and console versions of PUBG are also going free-to-play next year. Players who paid for the game will receive Battlegrounds Plus. This action upgrades their XP gains and provides a few freebies.
