Solenn Heussaff: An Empowered Woman

Solenn Heussaff makes her prime last. With a successful showbiz career, multiple magazine covers, thriving business projects, best-selling books, and a rapidly increasing blogging prominence, this thirty-something woman is undeniably winning at life.

Women should stand by what they believe in and they shouldn’t be shamed for it.

Solenn Heussaff: An Empowered Woman

With the life and career that she has now, her family is part of her best support system. In an interview, her brother Erwan explained,

When you’re trying to be fit or trying to lose weight or trying to work out more, it’s really important to have someone there for you. We’re pretty blessed because we come from a family that is extremely active. My dad is 72 and he still works out. My mom does a lot of sports and yoga. So, we all push each other to kind of be better versions of ourselves.

It is also known that Heussaffs never had any sibling-rival that caused big fights. Erwan even admitted,

Nothing’s really changed. She’s just as determined as she used to be. And, in terms of relationships, nothing’s changed at all. Actually, I’m closer to her husband than I am to my sister (laughs). I should have married Nico…

She is the second child of Louis Paul Heussaf, a former French Marine of Breton and Celtic ancestry and current leader of a service company for the petroleum industry, and a Filipina named Cynthia Adea. She has a younger brother named Erwan and a sister named Vanessa.

An empowered woman is passionate.

Solenn shares that her initial life plan was far from what she’s living right now. She didn’t really plan or dreamed of being an actress. Solenn is camera-shy and she was 26 years old back then when she started to enter the Philippine entertainment industry.

She enrolled in Studio Bercot in Europe where she pursued fashion design for three years. After that, she joined a six-month school at Escola Fleurimont, Paris where she learned the foundations of body painting, prosthetics, beauty, cosmetics, and fashion. She later enrolled at Makeup Forever Academy.

When she returned to Manila, she found a job as a makeup artist for several stars. Solenn worked as a makeup artist for celebrities in between her employment as a designer for Lulu Tan-Gan.

She is so well-versed in makeup that she even had a recent collaboration with BLK Cosmetics. She released an Artist Collection with two multi-palettes and four matte lipsticks last February 2021.

Her most noteworthy customers were the brothers Raymond and Ruffa Gutierrez, who subsequently persuaded Solenn to apply for Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown, a Philippine counterpart of the hit American reality series Survivor.

The program was going on its third season at the time, in 2010. Richard Gutierrez, Ruffa’s brother, was supposed to be the show’s host. Solenn thought about the chance and initially intended to participate “for fun.”

But, right now? Solenn proved that she is a versatile actress. She has a talent for making people laugh and cry with her acting. Temptation Island, Sosy Problems, My 2 Mommies, Adarna, Ilustrado, and Encantadia are only some of her most prominent works on both the small screen and the big screen.

An empowered woman is creative.

In an interview with Metro, she cites art as a way to express herself. Nevertheless, the French-Filipina actress gained notoriety by acting in a dazzling array of national and international film and television productions. But, Solenn is more than just a gorgeous face; she also devotes much of her creative time to painting, which she views as her true calling.

It’s my way of expressing myself. It’s the way of expressing one’s self without having to explain your side. I’m not a vocal person, I’ve never been vocal. So art is really my outlet. My main purpose is to tell a story.

Last February 2021, Solenn even made an entire Instagram account for her art. Solenn also mentioned that her art is called “social realism.” She doesn’t sugarcoat people’s lives, yet no matter how awful some of the situations are, there are still a lot of colors. It depicts both hope and darkness, which makes me believe it depicts reality.

Filipinos, especially in the Philippines, are usually cheerful, and cheerful; any challenges that arise, they can conquer. It is hoped that it will raise public awareness. She even displayed artwork about global warming.

In 2018, Solenn experienced her first international art exhibit in Miami, Florida. Four of her paintings were showcased at the 15th annual Palm Beach Jewelry, Art, & Antique Show. The exhibit is considered the “largest and most important show of its kind in the United States.”

An empowered woman is full of love.

In 2011, Solenn met her future husband, Nico Bolzico. The Argentinean businessman had just arrived in the Philippines and did not intend to stay. But that changed when he met Solenn. Three years into their relationship, Nico proposed to Solenn, and she said yes.

The couple first had a “celebration of the union” in Argentina in December 2015. They then held their wedding on May 21, 2016, in Brittany, France. Three years into their marriage, Nico and Solenn welcomed their daughter Thylane on January 1, 2020.

It is also important to concentrate on what you desire and what you require. Because you need to be happy to be a good mother. Any mom will feel the effects of all that work, but she makes up for it by taking some time for herself at the end of the day.

Motherhood is tougher on the skin than most people think. The hormonal changes gave me dark patches and melasma during pregnancy.

Their family is now expecting a member of the family as Solenn is currently pregnant with their second baby.

The determination to look after herself and live a healthy lifestyle is her key. Solenn is well-known for her love of fitness and wellness, as evidenced by her toned physique and health-conscious lifestyle. Aside from working out consistently, she promotes good nutrition as a crucial aspect of one’s fitness journey.
