Selena Gomez Gets A Tribute Tattoo For ‘Rare’

Selena Gomez shows off on Instagram her new tattoo, giving tribute to her latest single Rare.

On Wednesday, Selena took Instagram to reveal that she and her tattoo artist friend, Bang Bang “Did it again”. It is a small inking of the title of her latest album Rare.

Rare, her first album since Revival in 2015, is Selena’s gift for her fans this 2020. Most of the 13 new songs are about her past relationships, finding herself, self-love and acceptance.

According to the 27-year-old singer, Rare is the song she wishes that she could say personally to every single person. “The word is so special, and it means a lot. And I think in this time where everyone is obsessed with feeling like they need to look the same way or get things done or whatever it may be. Obviously, I don’t judge, I’m just saying there are some girls who are hurting because they feel like they don’t fit in, but this word is eliminating that, because you weren’t meant to look like everyone else. You’re meant to be who you are, and that’s unique and that’s rare,”
she said.

Last December, Selena unveiled that she has got a matching arm tattoo with her actress friend/kidney donor Francia Raisa, which is the date of the kidney transplant surgery, to commemorate their shared experience.

In her Capital FM interview, she also shared that she recently inked her thigh a tattoo of pair of praying hands with rosary as a tribute to her dad’s similar tattoo and she has a teeny arrow on the side of her hand matching Julia Michael’s.

Although Rare is currently doing good in the charts, Selena said that they are still figuring out if there will be a world tour. Selenators expressed their excitement to know what’s next after the singer’s long break.
