Rachel Peters, Migz Villafuerte wedding has been postponed due to COVID-19 crisis

After the postponement of grand wedding ceremony of Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez, another celebrity couple Rachel Peters and Miguel Luis “Migz” Villafuerte, the governor of Camarines Sur, have decided to move their wedding.

Last March 12, President Rodrigo Duterte declared the National Capital Region (NCR) has to undergo “community quarantine” — a mandatory isolation as per Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease.

In this state, specific forms of land, domestic air, and domestic sea travel to and from NCR will be suspended. It starts on the 15th of March 2020 until the 14th of April 2020. It’s also declared that schools within the metro are suspended until April 12th.

In an Instagram post, the former Miss Universe Philippines shared her sentiments amid this global health crisis.

“How I feel about this virus. Cancelled wedding (for now), all businesses suffering and millions of people terrified of where this is headed and how to keep their loved ones safe.”

Rachel did not mention the date of her would-have-been wedding.

At the latter part of her post, the 28-year-old former beauty queen reminded her followers to be “extra cautious.”

“Every single one of us is affected and were in this together. Use this time to reflect on what matters most in life—our health, family and friends [heart emoji] Stay healthy, hydrated and mindful.

“And get some sun while you’re at it too [heart emoji].”

They have been together for five years before getting engaged last November 2019.
