The social media influencer bared the truth about her recent hardships, which she said are primarily the reasons behind her absence. She posted a video confessing her encounters and answered why the typically outgoing beauty vlogger is now disheartened.
Pelaez first began narrating her involvement in a car accident.
She was using a filter to intentionally hide her swollen eyes due to crying.
Although Pelaez said her mother was safe, she was the one who sustained a major injury.
“Thank god, wala siyang injuries.
Turning emotional, Pelaez made a call to the public about the importance of putting safety a priority when driving. She emphasized that everyone should adhere to traffic rules even when running in a hurry for essential matters.
Paula Pelaez opens up about mental health struggles
Following her recounting, Pelaez nextly tackled her mental health issues. She noted how the challenges she is currently facing impacted her psychological state.
“I keep on crying kasi iniisip ko na hindi na ako makakagawa ng contents anymore. This is such a big scar, sa noo pa.
Pelaez built a reputation on social media for her beauty content, usually revolving around makeup tutorials. She earned the admiration of many, especially young women, by uplifting their self-esteem. She also encouraged them to become a better version of themselves.
But now, the 17-year-old is caught in a predicament.
“Siguro makakagawa pa rin ako ng makeup looks pero I don’t think na kaya ko pa ring maging confident unlike before. Nakakalungkot lang kasi magcecelebrate ako ng debut this year.”
With her revelations, Pelaez took the opportunity to apologize to the brands she is promoting. She also said sorry to her followers for her inactivity.
“I’m just grateful to be alive, pero I don’t know when will Chikana be back,” she ended.
