With their goal to empower and motivate the young generation all over the world, BGYO stands for Be The Change, Go Further, You and I, Originally Filipino. This group is composed of five members namely Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate. All of them came from their own musical and entertainment backgrounds. Gelo and Nate were part of their own individual dance teams. On the other hand, the remaining three were born in families with musical inclination.
Dreaming of entering the world of showbiz to showcase their talents, the members joined ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy in 2018. During that program, they received training from the most remarkable coaches from Korea and the Philippines. After that, the group debuted their first music video for their first music single “The Light”. The song covered a lot of timely issues such as mental health and academic burnout.
