Miss Universe to release 2022 closed-door interviews in February

You wished for it, now you got it! For the first time in its 71-year history, the 2022 Miss Universe closed-door interviews will be made public. Giving us an inside peek at what happens during this part of the competition. The fans will finally witness the candidates performance.

Uploaded through JKN18 News Facebook page, they have now begun sharing one minute of each candidate’s interviews. Starting with the Top 16 finalists, the first video features Miss Australia Monique Riley.

Moreover, JKN18 further states that the full 8-minute video of all 84 contestants would be accessible by February.

Prior to the pageant on January 14, there were rumors circulating that interviews account for 50% of the overall preliminary score. Meanwhile, the competitions for the evening gown and swimsuit total 25% each.

Due to this new development, many of the predicted frontrunners failed to place which disappointed a lot of fans. This includes Celeste Cortesi, Miss Universe Philippines 2022, who caused the nation’s longest winning streak in semifinals since 2010 to end.
