BLACKPINK’s Lisa recently marked her place in the beauty industry upon being named the newest face of international brand MAC Cosmetics.
Blinks went gaga over the grand reveal on Monday as MAC officially introduced the South Korean girl group’s charismatic main dancer and rapper as an endorser.
Lisa indeed proves she’s unstoppable as she is the first female K-pop idol to be given this title, her male counterpart being Chinese solo artist and EXO member Lay Zhang.
Overwhelmed by this milestone, Lisa shared that she couldn’t be any more thrilled to work with a brand close to her heart.
“I like how the brand turns makeup into a form of self-expression, which always gives me great confidence on stage,” she says.
MAC, on the other hand, feels honored and excited as well to be starting this collaboration with the world-renowned artist. As expressed by their Senior Vice President and Global Creative Director Drew Elliot in an interview with Preview.
“Not only is she incredibly sweet and down to earth, she embodies an aesthetically fierce yet approachable style that truly resonates with MAC’s DNA [that] we’re so proud to bring to life through this campaign.”
