Julia Montes reunites with Coco Martin for “Ang Probinsyano”
Julia Montes returns to television as Coco Martin‘s new leading lady in the sixth year of the action-drama series Ang Probinsyano. On Instagram, producer Dreamscape Entertainment officially confirmed that Coco Martin and Julia Montes will be working together once again.
Fans have been asking for years for Julia and Coco to reunite on television, and now it’s finally happening.
Coco Martin and Julia Montes first appeared together in the remarkable TV drama Walang Hanggan in 2012. With their next-level chemistry, netizens suspect that the actors were dating each other. However, they have not confirmed nor denied the rumors surrounding them. The love team went to Mindoro, where they will be filming for Brillante Mendoza’s upcoming film.
In an ABS-CBN report, Julia admitted that she’s comfortable working with Coco.

Ang Probinsyano will have additional characters
On the same day, the producer also confirmed that they will be introducing new characters in the action-drama series. Tommy Abuel, Rosanna Roces, Michael Flores, Vangie Labalan, Marela Torre, Chai Fonacier, Elora Espao, and Joseph Marco are the new cast members.

This September marks the sixth year of Ang Probinsyano, the TV version of Fernando Poe Jr.’s 1997 film King of Action. In 2015, it became the country’s continuous No. 1 TV series until July 2020 when it fully moved to digital. Apart from Filipinos, more people across the world may see Coco Martin’s journey as Cardo. Thanks to The Filipino Channel and Netflix, as well as broadcasts in Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, and 41 African countries.
Coco Martin and Julia Montes worked together on Wansapanataym’s Yamishita’s Treasures in 2015. Additionally, the pair also starred in the 2013 film A Moment in Time and the series Ikaw Lamang in 2014.
