Celebrity chef Jose Sarasola and model Maria Ozawa just ended their 5-year relationship
Celebrity Chef of GMA Network, Jose Sarasola, and renowned model Maria Ozawa just ended their almost 5-year relationship.
In an interview with PEP Magazine, Jose shared how the couple’s long-distance relationship is the reason for their unfortunate breakup. In the said interview, the chef explained,
“To be honest, wala na kami. It’s been difficult… it’s been very hard. LDR is very hard. We never expect this to be difficult. We tried.”

According to him, it was in December when they decided to part ways. Sadly, they weren’t able to celebrate their 5th anniversary this February. He also shared that both of them agreed on breaking off the relationship.
The celebrity chef also stated that they started off their long-distance relationship in June 2020 when Maria went back to Japan due to the pandemic.
They continued their relationship and didn’t lose communication. However, it was just really hard to maintain, according to him.
Aside from being an artist of the renowned GMA Network, Jose is also busy with his restaurant and other endorsements. On the other hand, Maria also has a resto-bar business in Tokyo and manages a YouTube channel at the same time.
Jose continued,
“As time went by, it just took a heavy toll on the both of us, e. Nahirapan kaming dalawa. Medyo hard na to continue the relationship, parang it’s hard when your partner is not here.”
The GMA artist also mentioned how it’s very hard for foreigners to enter the Philippines due to quarantine protocols and other COVID-19 guidelines.
“Up to now, she has never came back. Nahihirapan talaga siya kasi sa mga rules ng mga foreigners coming back.”
Despite that, according to the celebrity, he and Maria remain, friends, since they didn’t really have any huge issues or conflicts.
