Lee Chaelin with the stage name CL is a South Korean rapper and singer-songwriter. In 2009, she debuted as a leader of the four-member girl group 2NE1. Moreover, the group becomes one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. Then CL made her solo debut with the single The Baddest Female in 2013.
When the group went on hiatus in 2015, CL pursued a solo career and released the singles Lifted and Hello Bitches. Later on, she became the third Korean artist overall and the first female Korean soloist to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. After nearly two years of hiatus, YG Entertainment announced the disbandment of 2NE1.
Four girls with a dream
CL posted these photos as part of their debut 10th anniversary. The pictures were taken when they are still active as a group. Back when they performed together and held concerts worldwide.
2NE1 consists of four members: Bom, CL, Dara, and Minzy. They debuted with the single Fire and became known for their musical experimentation, outfits, and stage presence. In addition, they are also one of the most famous girl groups in the Korean music industry. They also emerged as one of the key personalities of the Korean wave or Hallyu wave.
10th Anniversary
The girl group celebrated their 10th anniversary together and shared heartfelt photos that made the fans cry. Their friendship since they were trainees up until now grows and created a strong bond among the members.
Bonding
Despite their individual schedules, they still celebrated Minzy’s birthday together. They met up to bond and spent a fun time. Furthermore, many fans were thrilled that the members still post pictures to update them. We should all take their strong friendship as an example.
Reunited
After seven years, 2NE1 reunited and performed their song I Am The Best at the Coachella 2022 during the 88Rising’s set. This was their first live performance since their inactivity as a group in 2015. This made the fans and casual listeners teary-eyed because of the group’s unexpected reunion.
Even as former members, they all still look out for each other. The group maintains their strong bond and friendship. On top of that, CL does not forget to show her love for her lifelong friends.
