Here’s what we can expect for Miss International 2022
The road to Miss International 2022 has been a long and bumpy one. After two years of postponement, the pageant will finally stage this year’s competition by next month.
With about 60 candidates competing for the title, it’s clear that they are doing the best they can to make this edition fun and exciting. Making up for the two-year absence, the pageant continues to entice its fans with new updates and development.
As the countdown begins, here are some of what Miss International has in store for us.
New Crown
As the pageant’s newest symbol, Miss International unveiled its newest crown last November 5.
In partnership with Long Beach Pearl, the new crown is adorned with 333 pure white pearls as well as 1,960 white gems. The pearls aim to represent luck and survival whereas the gems represent the inaugural year of the pageant.
Continuing with its Japanese background, the crown also features a distinct Sakura flower pattern. Owing to its meaning of resilience and beauty, the new Miss International will surely blossom into her newfound role with ease and elegance.
The introduction of the new crown formally bids farewell to the well-loved Mikimoto pearl crown. First used in 1967, the Mikimoto crown has been an iconic trademark and will surely be missed by many.
Miss International App
To provide an interactive platform for the fans, Miss International launches its own mobile app. Powered by Choicy, it contains all the comprehensive updates fans might need to know as they follow along the candidates’ journey.
It will also serve as the official voting site which can help the fans vote for their favorite contestant. First in its history, the winners of the online vote will automatically advance in the Top 15 during the coronation night.
Voting will begin on November 13.
Miss International 2022 will be taking place on December 13 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan. At the end of the event, outgoing titleholder Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand will crown her successor.
Bb. Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold will represent the Philippines at the pageant. She hopes to become our seventh Miss International winner.
With only a month to go, we can’t wait to see who will reign supreme and will continue Miss International’s legacy of ‘Cheer for All Women’.
