Here Are Our Top 5 ASUS Laptops For 2020

We all know that ASUS an incredibly huge portfolio of laptops, whether it’s for gaming or productivity. The company’s impressive innovations and affordably priced notebooks make them quite popular among tech enthusiasts and consumers.

Clearly, the brand wants to stand out and offer powerful performance on a laptop. This is while still tackling the challenge of keeping the laptop lightweight and portable.  Here’s the list of the ASUS laptops that came this year:

ASUS ExpertBook B9

The company launched this laptop for professionals around June 2020. It is a trustworthy machine performance-wise. Inside, it is running on a 10th gen Intel Core processor with up to 16 GB of LPDDR3 memory and up to 3 TB M.2 SSDs in its dual PCIe 3.0 x4 slots and the next-gen Wi-Fi 6 networking.

Businesses value security so much, so ASUS equipped the ExpertBook B9 with various technologies. This to make sure that confidential files and finances are out of harm’s way. These technologies include a Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM) security chip,  a webcam shield, and an IR camera.

ASUS ProArt StudioBook One

At the forefront of the brand’s new business/creative line-up is the ProArt StudioBook One. The company dubbed this one as the “world’s most graphically-powerful laptop” because they equip this with the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 graphics.

This GPU of ProArt StudioBook One also has ray tracing, deep learning support, and 24GB VRAM. ASUS claims that users can enjoy a faster workload in terms of rendering, AI, VR, animations, and others. They also designed this laptop for content creators so they combined this GPU with ASUS ScreenPad 2.0.

Like its sibling StudioBook One, this laptop also sports powerful specs. This includes a professional-grade NVIDIA RTX 5000 graphics, either a 9th Generation Intel Xeon or an Intel Core i7 Hexa-core processor, CPU-attached RAID, and 2.5-inch SSD. With that, the StudioBook Pro can render files easily, handle 8K video editing, and able to boot-up with a blazing speed.

This is the first Quadro laptop to have the four-sided ASUS NanoEdge display with a 92% screen-to-body ratio, 16:10 aspect, PANTONE validated panel, wide 97% DCI-P3 color gamut, and Delta-E color accuracy.

On top of these, the StudioBook Pro X also sports the brand’s ScreenPad 2.0, Quick Key, which can support up to three external displays via its HDMI 2.0 and two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3.

This is a light and slim laptop with measurements of 13.9mm x 304mm x 203mm and a weight of 1.11 kg. It also has a 13.3-inch FHD 1920 x 1080 IPS-level wide-view screen with NanoEdge design for 88 percent screen-to-body ratio, anti-glare, and 300nits brightness. Inside, it houses an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, Intel Irix Xe Graphics, 8GB 4266MHz LPDDR4X RAM, 512GB PCIe NVMe 3.0 x 2 M.2 SSD, and a 67Wh Li-Po battery with a 65W power adapter.

It also has WiFi Gig+, Bluetooth 5.0, 3D IR HD camera with Windows Hello support, 2 X Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, 1 x USB 3..2 Gen 1 Type-A port, 1 x HDMI, and a microSD card reader. It also has the ASUS SonicMaster stereo audio system with surround sound, smart amplifier, and array microphone with support for both Cortana and Alexa.

The model comes in two variants. First, there’s the variant with an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. There’s the 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor with NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPU. Both have 8GB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD, 50Wh Li-Po battery with a 65W power adapter. ASUS said that this one has a fast-charging rate at 60 percent in just 49 minutes.

It also has WiFi 6 GIG+, Bluetooth 5.0, HD camera, 1 x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port, 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x HDMI, 1 x audio combo port, and a microSD card reader. It also has an array microphone with Cortana voice support. The VivoBook S14 S433 measures at 15.9 x 324.9 x 213.5 mm and weighs just 1.4 kg.
