GMA Sparkle Artist wins Miss Summit International 2023
The Philippines scores big as AZ Martinez wins the title of Miss Summit International 2023. Becoming the second consecutive Filipina to bring home the crown, Martinez bags a back-to-back victory by succeeding fellow Filipina, Nica Zosa.
Besting 20 other candidates, the pageant’s coronation took place on September 3 (Manila Time) at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts in Florida, USA.
AZ Martinez is Miss Summit International 2023
Azriel Atira Martinez Coloma or professionally known as AZ Martinez is an actress under GMA Network’s Sparkle talent management as well as a Philippine Youth Ambassadress. She was appointed as Miss Summit Philippines by the Hiyas ng Pilipinas Organization last July 3.
Competing at the pageant’s inaugural edition last year, Martinez originally won the title of Miss Elite Philippines 2022. Scheduled to travel to Egypt and compete at Miss Elite World 2023, however, she was unable to go.
A redirection well-deserved, this marks the first international win for Hiyas ng Pilipinas. Currently in preparation for its upcoming second edition, the pageant is definitely in a lot of pressure to select the country’s next representative for Miss Summit International.
With Martinez immediately crowning her next successor, the winner will be aiming to achieve the impossible three-peat victory.
