GMA Network assures all employees of financial aid
On Wednesday, March 18, GMA Network assured all its workers that their labor is not in vain. Given the rising cases of COVID-19 in the country, the industry has been affected by the adjustment of the work set-up.
No one will be left uncompensated in the company. Their statement read, “GMA Network rolls out measures to provide financial aid to its employees amid the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Network announced on Wednesday, March 18, that all its employees will be getting their full salaries. Aside from that, cash equivalent of their rice benefits will be given.
These are on top of the year-round medicine allowance and health card benefits accorded to all regular employees and their eligible dependents.
Meanwhile, talents and project employees will still be able to receive their salaries on March 25 and 30, respectively. In addition, a cash advance will be made available for them for their April 10 and 15 pay-outs.
Of course, GMA remains true to it commitment of delivering Serbisyong Totoo to the public. The Kapuso Network equally assures its hardworking workforce by catering to their financial needs during these challenging times.”
New line up of shows
GMA has also announced that GMA News TV will temporarily be off air. While we will miss the cast and story of some of GMA Afternoon Prime and Telebabad line-up since all tapings are also suspended, they are now airing old shows that were loved by the Filipino audience. Namely, the 2016 remake of Encantadia, Kambal Karibal, My Husband’s Lover, and Ika-6 Na Utos. Well, it’s not so bad to take a trip down memory lane, right?
