‘Flower of Evil’ stars Lovi Poe and Piolo Pascual has started working on the Philippine adaptation
Piolo Pascual and Lovi Poe team up for the first time in the upcoming Filipino adaptation of Flower of Evil. Work for the show has finally begun and fans of the Korean drama series couldn’t contain their happiness.
Lovi and Piolo’s first pairing
This Philippine adaptation marks Lovi and Piolo’s first pairing on screen. What’s exciting also is the fact that this is the actress’ first project as a Kapamilya talent. But note that this becomes her second with ABS-CBN overall after the iWant movie Malaya.
In Lovi’s most recent Instagram update, she and Pascual appear to have done a pictorial for the suspense drama.
The actress referred to the names of their characters in her caption,
“And so it begins… Say hello to Cha Ji-won and Baek Hee-sung.”
Aside from this photoshoot, on Sunday, Piolo and Lovi also attended the series’ story conference along with the other cast members.
Other talented celebrities who will join them in the series are Robert Seña, Epy Quizon, Jett Pangan, and Pinky Amador. Also, Kit Thompson, Agot Isidro, Rita Avila, Denise Laurel, Joross Gamboa, and Edu Manzano joins the fray.
The interesting story of the Korean series
Flower of Evil follows the story of a husband trying to hide his twisted past under a different identity. In the process, he deceives his wife who is actually a detective.
Lee Joon-Gi and Moon Chae-Won originally headlined the South Korean version. They played the husband and wife, respectively.
ABS-CBN has not announced when the local version of “Flower of Evil” will be released.
One thing’s for sure though. Piolo and Lovi are two of the best actors our time has and the plot of the drama is mind-boggling. Mystery and crime fans are in for a wonderful treat.
