Erwan Heussaff teams up with Lark to help small food businesses

As a result of the pandemic and its effect on the Philippine economy, several small businesses have been forced to halt operations or close up shop completely. This has been happening to companies across multiple trades, including those in the food industry.

Helping small businesses

Apart from the loss of income faced by these businesses, the pandemic brings about operational difficulties as well. Those that are fortunate enough to stay open have had to make adjustments to comply with health standards and other regulations put in place for everyone’s safety. This includes working with a skeletal team, with limited face-to-face interaction.

Times may be tough, but working together while apart doesn’t have to be, with a collaborative platform like Lark. This next-generation suite integrates messaging, online docs and sheets, cloud storage, calendar, and video conferencing functions in a single app. Lark is currently available on Mac, PC, iOS, and Android.

The current situation has been challenging, to say the least. Many establishments and entrepreneurs need all the help they can get. To address this, blogger and businessman, Erwan Heussaff, teamed up with Lark to give aid to two small food businesses in need. An entrepreneur himself, Erwan understands how important this boost can be to help a company stay afloat.

Together, Lark and Erwan donated a total of P600,000 to two Filipino food businesses in NCR, Heaven’s Touch Cuisine and Pam’s Catering. With the money, these two businesses will be preparing close to 3,500 meals. These will be distributed to a beneficiary, Citihub. It is a company that provides affordable housing options across Metro Manila for blue-collar workers.

Heaven’s Touch Cuisine and Pam’s Catering were selected to receive this donation through an online contest hosted by Erwan and Lark last June. To join the contest, well-loved community establishments were nominated through videos submitted to Erwan via the Lark app. The video entries explained the importance of these businesses to the neighborhood, and why they needed help.
