Disciplesheep Ministries: Making Disciples and Feeding the Sheeps
If you love me, feed my sheep.
Disciplesheep Ministries was established in 2017 at the Lupang Arenda in Taytay, Rizal, to feed children, teach them to be more like Jesus, and have these children teach others like them.
In November 2017, in collaboration with the San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish Youth Ministry, they recruited volunteers from that ministry. Numerous youth ministry members volunteered alongside parish members in the Poor Servants of Divine Providence congregation.
The weekly feeding on Saturday became a weekly school for kids ages 5 to 12. Children are taught Bible principles and how to be proper and clean. The ministries teach children how to wash their hands before meals and eat without making a mess. Which leads to teaching older children how to tidy their area or a CLAYGO.
Like other non-profits, they struggled to feed the kids each morning. Even when they ran out of donations and pledges, they taught every Saturday class with optimism and care.
Despite stopping every Saturday class for three years due to the pandemic. The ministry has continued its annual Balik-Eskwela Drive and Christmas gift-giving for five years.
Now that the season and pandemic have passed, Disciplesheep Ministries is preparing to continue serving 100 children in 2023. They are currently visiting the homes of their former sheep for their final counting and 2023 preparation program.
