Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) is bidding farewell to national television as its host Charo Santos announced concluding the show on its 31st anniversary.

ABS-CBN News on Monday confirmed a three-part episode airing this November 26 to December 12, which will serve as the MMK finale. The report also shared messages from Santos thanking everyone who took part and worked behind the three-decade-old series.

Santos extended her gratitude to the artists who gave life to the stories from letters shared by the senders. She further acknowledged the contribution of the viewers and their loyalty that led to the success of MMK.

MMK is acclaimed as the longest-running drama anthology in Asia with 31 years of broadcast. In addition to featuring prominent names in showbiz and entertainment, MMK also provided a spotlight for upcoming talents that will soon rise to stardom.

Moreover, MMK’s commitment to presenting moving narratives has marked pop culture and created a legacy in its history. The show encouraged the gathering of Filipino households, a culture of guessing games, and often inspired countless imitations and spoofs.

In her message, Santos expressed hopes of crossing paths with the viewers, whether at another chance or possibility.

Ito po si Charo Santos, ang inyong tagahanga at tagapag-kuwento,” she said.
