Binibining Pilipinas 2022 Grand Santacruzan standouts
Last March 14, the Grand Santacruzan finally returns to Araneta City, as Binibining Pilipinas begins its pre-event activities. It has been a few days since the procession but the hangover among fans still lingers!
This is because, for the first time since the start of the pandemic, pageants fans and even regular bystanders got to see the 40 official candidates in-person. Furthermore, also gracing the event were the reigning Bb. Pilipinas queens as well as Miss International 2005 Precious Lara Quigaman.
For the traditional Flores De Mayo procession, each Binibini was given a religious title. All of them looked lovely in costumes designed by our talented Filipino designers.
Seeing them up close and in the flesh, the candidates made quite a first impression, leaving the crowd stunned. However, here are six of them that managed to catch our eyes.
Bb. 1 (Cainta, Rizal) Stacey Gabriel
Starting off the procession of the candidates is the pretty Stacey Gabriel. As one of the new faces in the pageant scene, the former ‘Ang Probinsyano’ star looks like a doll!
Religious Title: Pamayanan Immaculada
Designer: Eric Pineda
MUA: Kim Roy Opog
Bb. 5 (Ilo-Ilo City) Karen Mendoza
After her stint last year, Karen Mendoza is coming back stronger but still has the magnetic face that fans love.
Religious Title: Pamayanan Dela Paz
Designer: Jerome Navarro
MUA: Gio Flores
Bb. 8 (Angono, Rizal) Nicole Budol
Undeniably THE crowd favorite from the procession, Nicole’s contagious personality charms the crowd. Unlike her name though, Nicole’s beauty ain’t ‘budol’.
Religious Title: Pamayanan Guadalupe
Designer: Geronie Lebora
MUA: Mary Letim
Bb. 21 (Lipa City, Batangas) Gracia Elizabetta Mendoza
Gracia’s overall look would have to be one of the best. It wasn’t difficult to spot her during the procession because as stunning as she is, so does her costume!
Religious Title: Reyna Caridad
Designer: Chico Estiva
MUA: Donalo Lopez
Bb. 25 (Bataan) Anna Valencia Lakrini
As one of the faces of the competition, Anna might be portraying a Pasteur, but she can also pass as Mama Mary! That’s how immaculate she is.
Religious Title: Divina Pastora
Designer: Louis Pangilinan
MUA: Shane Zendan and Mhaki Maginang
Bb. 40 (San Pablo, Laguna) Roberta Tamondong
Roberta might be the last in the procession but that didn’t stop her from being a scene stealer. Her face and overall presence are divine.
Religious Title: Reyna de los Apóstoles
Designer: Jomar Peralta
MUA: Drew Galleguez
With the coronation night still unannounced, it’s still everyone’s game at this point. As the competition progresses, it is only expected that the girls will do their best to win one of the crowns at stake. It might be too early too call but this year’s batch has already proven to be a strong one.
