‘Because of You’ hitmaker Keith Martin dies
American singer-songwriter and record producer Keith Martin died at his condominium unit in Quezon City yesterday, March 25.
According to the initial investigation report, his neighbors contacted the property manager about a foul odor on the sixth floor.
During the investigation, the officials tracked the smell in Apartment 6E of the condominium unit, where they discovered Keith’s lifeless body.
The 55-year old RNB artist had been dead for at least a week prior to the report, according to singer-actress Sheree Bautista, who collaborated with him.
Furthermore, the cause of death is still under investigation, as of writing.
Meanwhile, Filipino celebrities expressed condolences at the death of the iconic “Because of You” hitmaker.
In a tweet, Kyla expressed her grief. “Thank you for the inspiration. You will leave a legacy of great music,” she stated.

Kris Lawrence, an R&B artist, also voiced his sadness over the sudden death of a musician who was one of his idols in the industry. “Your music will live in our hearts forever,” he said.
