BAG RAID: My bag must-haves
Since I became a teenager, I have not gone outside the house without my purse or my bag. Totes and shoulder bags are my go-to types of bags, while baguettes are my favorite. So without further ado, let me share what my bag must-haves are whenever I go to work or do personal errands outside.
Personal Hygienes/ Toiletries
These products are the most important items in my bag, and I can’t go out without them. Travel toothbrush, small toothpaste packet, and travel-sized mouthwash bottle are the first three on the list. Working in customer service, I am expected to talk with clients so having a fresh breath is a must. Next on the list are my wet wipes, and tissue hankies. You will never know when nature will call you, so better be ready at all times. Meanwhile, an extra napkin pad and panty liner are essentials to be ready during monthly periods. Additionally, hand sanitizers and isopropyl alcohol to disinfect my surroundings are needed. And since COVID is still around, an extra clean mask is required.
Coming up next is my hand cream, to moisturize my dry hands. The perfume of the day cannot be forgotten to smell fresh all day. My favorite is Good Girl by Carolina Herrera, which I put on a 30ml bottle to fit in my bag. Comb and dry shampoo should be added to the list, too. Lastly, I cannot forget my sunscreen, with high SPF to protect my skin from UV rays. If you do skin care, you would know how it prevents premature aging and reduces skin cancer risks.
Make-up Kit
I sometimes wake up late, so I just bring my make-up kit to work and do a retouch in the restroom. The products I have are just the usual, and my staples. I have a concealer to hide the unwanted, and a compact powder to mattify my face. I do not usually fill in my eyebrows so I just have an eyebrow gel to define them. Since I have Asian lashes, a volumizing mascara and an eyelash curler are a must too. I also bring a cream blush pot because it can already work as a cheek blush, an eyeshadow, or a lip tint. Finally, I have a water-based lip tint, a lip smacker, and a lip balm to keep my lips moisturized.
Gadgets and accessories
Of course, I would always remember to bring my phone. If I will be going on a day trip, a fully-charged power bank is needed. I also bring my laptop sometimes, but I use a larger tote bag if ever. Last is my portable mini fan, a lifesaver in sweltering weather.
In addition to my personal hygiene, toiletries, make-up kits, and gadgets, I also have other items as my staples.
First are my coin purse, and a wallet to hold my cash and cards. Weather is also very unpredictable nowadays, so I never forget my sleek umbrella. Being nearsighted, I also bring my eyedrops and a case for my graded contact lenses with a solution inside. To bring up rear are my apartment keys, gums, and mints that should always be in the back pocket of my bag.
Summing it up, I noticed that I do carry a lot in my bag. However, if you organize it well, you can fit as much in a good-sized bag. Now, you can already have a hint on why women’s purses weigh a ton.
