The 6th VP Choice Awards (VPCA) returned this May 29 to celebrate the country’s most influential names across various categories. With the theme “Blossom: A Floral Affair,” this year’s ceremony promises a vibrant red carpet and a night of recognition, handing out over 100 awards across various industries.

The Village Pipol Choice Awards (VPCA) continues to spotlight individuals who have made significant impacts in their respective fields. The VP Covers for 2024 feature personalities who embody excellence, innovation, and influence.

VP Cover of the Year: Miss Glenda: Brilliant Breaker of Barriers

Miss Glenda, the CEO of Brilliant Skin Essentials, graced the May–June 2024 cover of Village Pipol Magazine and was recognized as the Entrepreneur of the Year at the 5th VPCA. Her  cover story highlights her journey of transforming a personal skin condition into a thriving business, emphasizing her commitment to empowering women and challenging societal norms. Miss Glenda’s story portrays a woman as a beacon of resilience and advocacy, redefining beauty standards and promoting self-confidence.

The cover also delved into her strategic choices, such as branding her company with the color pink to symbolize strength and femininity. It underscores her belief in the power of women to excel in any field and her dedication to breaking barriers in a male-dominated industry. Through her leadership, Miss Glenda continues to inspire others to embrace their authentic selves and pursue their dreams.

VP Spotlight of the Year: With a Bang: G22 is the Female Alphas of P-Pop

The May–June 2024 issue featured G22 in the VP Spotlight. This dynamic P-Pop group has been making waves with their unique sound and captivating performances. Their rise in the music scene showcases the growing influence of Filipino artists on the global stage.

Dubbed as the “Female Alphas of P-Pop,” G22 challenges traditional gender norms through their music and persona. Composed of AJ, Jaz, and Alfea, G22 empowers women by embracing strength, confidence, and vulnerability. Their music and visuals promote self-acceptance and break the stereotype that being an “alpha” is only for men.

Beyond music, G22 explores modeling and acting, supported by their management’s encouragement to branch out creatively. They’ve performed internationally, notably in China and Taiwan. The group also shares a deep bond with their fans, called “Bullets,” acknowledging their support as essential to G22’s success.

VP Xclusives of the Year: Eric Ejercito – When the Spotlight Hits”

Eric Ejercito, known for his versatility in both acting and business, Eric has consistently demonstrated his commitment to excellence in multifaceted endeavors; notably for his work in both music and acting. 

The feature highlights his journey from his early exposure to the entertainment industry, being the son of actor and politician E.R. Ejercito, to mapping out his own path in the spotlight.
