4th VP Choice Awards: Anji Salvacion, KD Estrada hailed Promising Stars of the Year
Fellow Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10 housemates Anji Salvacion and KD Estrada are the Promising Stars of the Year at the 4th VP Choice Awards.
VP Choice Awards acknowledges the reigning finest from the travel, lifestyle, entertainment, technology, and business industries. The 2022 installment welcomes the theme Supernova: Our Brilliant Burst of Light. It signifies embracing one’s burgeoning blast after an era of compromise and signals the return of the much-anticipated awards night.
Meanwhile, nominees for the 4th VP Choice Awards are examined based on these criteria: fifty percent comes from online voting, thirty percent from the editorial team’s decision, and twenty percent from the expert panel.
Furthermore, the board of judges comprised showbiz-lifestyle YouTuber Albert Bryan Abelido, orthodontics expert Dr. John Alex Glenn Crespo, and seasoned blogger Justine Montas. Likewise, actress-entrepreneur Kyra Custodio, celebrity hairstylist Mark Rosales, market researcher Martin Penaflor, and gadget coach Peter Jan Icago joined the panel.
Thus, the combined decision of the public and deliberation of the judges led to determining the conquerors of almost 100 accolades presented for the 4th VP Choice Awards.
Anji Salvacion and KD Estrada for VPCA 2022 Promising Stars of the Year
The Promising Star of the Year is a recognition under the entertainment category of the 4th VP Choice Awards. The title acknowledges the female and male personalities who captured the attention of the pipol with their talent and appeal. They should also have an undeniable connection to their fans.
During the VPCA 2022 awards night, Anji and KD were named the winners of the said prizes. Not only did they win the public votes, but they correspondingly earned the judges’ favor.
As the Female Promising Star of the Year, Anji beat five other women vying for the honor. She bested Alexa Ilacad, Elijah Alejo, Herlene Budol, Jane de Leon, and Sofia Pablo.
Alike, the Male Promising Star of the Year recipient KD stood out among the six overall candidates for the trophy. He triumphed over Allen Ansay, Anthony Jennings, Jake Ejercito, Kych Minomoto, and Will Ashley.
Anji will appear in an upcoming online series by ABS-CBN called Love Bites (season two) with Elyson de Dios. She also recently released her single musical Dalampasigan.
Meanwhile, KD not long ago starred with Alexa Ilacad in Walang Aray, a musical play by Philippine Educational Theater Association. Before that, they headlined the music video for his song Days, launched in January this year.
