WATCH: Lauv drops new MV ‘Mean It’ with LANY
Singer, songwriter, and pop visionary Lauv just dropped a new music video for his latest single Mean It featuring the American indie-pop band LANY — and it has garnered over 50 million streams since its release two weeks ago!
The MV sees Lauv and Paul Klein (LANY) go on a treasure hunt in the desert and randomly dancing and singing in an empty car. “Much like the song lyrics that depict a relationship based on false promises, the video sees them on a journey where they try to make sense of what’s real and fake in the psychedelic world around them,” the explainer read.
In fact, the MV was directed by Philip Lopez, along with Kygo, Selena Gomez, and Liam Payne and shot in Palmdale, California. Watch the MV below!

Since it was released, the MV went viral pretty soon and fans can’t stop talking about how perfect their collaboration is. “This video was made for those who couldn’t tell their voices apart,” one fan wrote in a comment. “A combination of Lauv and LANY is like a coffee with sugar,” another fan posted.
Meanwhile, Mean It will be included on Lauv’s 21-track debut album, How I’m Feeling, which is set to release on March 6, 2020.
In October, Lauv was also featured on the remix version of the K-pop group BTS’ Make It Right.
