Offering a platform to showcase Thailand’s vibrant tourism landscape to an international audience, Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+) 2024 extends a warm welcome to global participants on June 5 at the JW Marriott Khao Lak, Phang-Nga.
With the theme “Amazing Thailand: Your Stories Never End,” the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) underscored its fresh marketing communication concept, showcasing the country’s diverse tourism offerings and crafting meaningful travel experiences to international stakeholders.

As TAT introduces its fresh marketing communication concept, it ignites diverse array of international players. TAT’s offerings encompass a wide range of tourism experiences. From luxury escapes to wellness retreats, soft adventures, and sustainable tourism initiatives, TAT ensures there’s something to cater to every traveler’s desires and interests.
“The TTM+ 2024 has been conceptualised to showcase diverse tourism offerings that leverage Thai cultural values for a remarkable and excellent experience in Thailand,” Ms.Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of TAT, said.
For Luxury seekers, their haven is in Phuket and Phang-Nga. they can indulge in pool villas, treehouse retreats, and exquisite dining experiences. In the north, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai offer a blend of nature and culture, with serene river cruises and rejuvenating spa treatments.

Sustainable Tourism Shine Brightly at TTM+ 2024
At TTM+ 2024, Thailand not only curated meaningful travel experiences but also emphasized sustainability for global participants to enhance the tourism industry. Several sustainable strategies were highlighted during the event.
“Sustainability plays a crucial role in our strategy to position Thailand as a high-value and sustainable destination. Our initiatives to promote responsible travel practices include the Thailand Tourism Awards and the Sustainable Tourism Goals (STGs), which were rated with a STAR certification and CF-Hotels,” TAT Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications, said.
TAT’s one of the strategies was exemplified through the green practices exhibition, a dedicated space highlighting sustainable initiatives within the tourism sector. This exhibition featured eco-friendly accommodations, responsible tour operators, conservation projects, and efforts aimed at minimizing carbon footprints.
TTM+ 2024 also provided educational workshops and seminars focusing on sustainable tourism practices, featuring insights from industry experts, environmentalists, and community leaders. Key topics included waste management, renewable energy, wildlife conservation, and community-based tourism initiatives.
The event also highlighted interactive experiences, offering participants firsthand opportunities to learn about sustainability. These included guided eco-tours, volunteering opportunities, and visits to sustainable tourism sites. Such experiences aim to provide valuable insights and inspire participants to integrate sustainability into their businesses and practices.
The TTM+ 2024 has registered a strong turnout, with a record number of buyers: 425, which constitutes 55.5% returning buyers and 44.5% new ones. They are from East Asia (30.4%), Europe (25.2%), ASEAN, South Asia and the South Pacific (20.9%), the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East (11.3%), as well as Thailand (12.2%).
The TTM+ 2024 agenda spans three days, June 5 – 7 comprising pre-tours, an opening ceremony, Thailand product updates, TTM Talk, and a welcome reception on the first day. The following two days feature B2B appointment sessions and networking events.
The Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand emphasized the significance of this year’s TTM+, stating that the event serves as a pivotal platform to showcase Thai tourism on a global scale.
“TTM+, organised in line with the government’s “IGNITE Thailand” vision, has played a crucial role as a premier showcase of Thai tourism. I am confident that this year’s event will further affirm its well-earned recognition as a must-attend B2B tradeshow that provides a valuable business platform for sellers and buyers,” Mr. Sermsak, Minister of Tourism and Sports said in a press release.
The annual TTM+ event is known for highlighting unique tourism products. This year, it’s focusing on four diverse experiences in Phang-Nga. These include the ‘Try & Taste’ showcase, featuring delicious coffees and teas like Thai-Style coffee from Kopi Kuapa and organic tea from Sawanbondin. The ‘Showcase’ reveals local crafts from Morgan Village and Batik from Takuapa. ‘Local Product’ showcases authentic dishes and fresh fruits, while ‘Unleash’ offers DIY activities like batik painting or beadwork workshops.
