TikTok Launches “Time and Well-being Page”

TikTok, the leading destination for short-form mobile video, has introduced a new Time and Well-being Page, a dedicated in-app space designed to help users unwind, reset, and cultivate balanced digital habits.
Building on TikTok’s ongoing work to support the safety and well-being of its community, especially teens, the new space combines mindfulness practices, creator guidance, and interactive features to empower users to take greater control of their digital experiences.
During the launch event, TikTok hosted a panel discussion on how the Time and Well-being page provides practical strategies and tools to engage with the platform more intentionally. On the panel were Bea Bautista, Head of Communications for the Philippines at TikTok, Peachy Paderna, Public Policy Manager for the Philippines at TikTok, and Riyan Portuguez, psychologist, digital wellness advocate and creator.
“The Time and Well-being Page was created to give our community tools to engage mindfully with TikTok and develop digital habits that truly serve them,” said Peachy Paderna. “These tools reflect TikTok’s proactive approach to online safety, built on ongoing collaboration experts, to ensure that every user is able to enjoy a safe and personalized experience on the platform,” she added.
“The digital space is already part of everyday life, especially for young people. That’s why having tools that encourage mindful breaks is so crucial,” said Riyan Portuguez during the discussion. “Instead of restricting social media usage, a more sustainable approach is helping people manage their digital lives intentionally. Tools like TikTok’s Time and Well-being features help users, pause, reflect, and develop healthy digital habits,” she emphasized.
Encouraging mindful habits through new digital well-being tools

Accessible from the Account Settings page, Time and Well-being is guided by academic research and built around strategies that support users in creating a healthy relationship with technology, rather than imposing strict restrictions. TikTok believes that time spent online should bring joy, creativity, connection, and learning, and that fostering balance and mindfulness is essential, particularly for younger users navigating digital spaces.
Among the five new tools is the affirmation journal, which allows users to set daily intentions, offering more than 120 cards to download or share. The soothing sound generator provides calming audio, including rainfall, ocean waves, and white noise, supporting relaxation and emotional regulation. Breathing exercises guide users through simple mindfulness techniques, helping them focus, reduce stress, and take intentional pauses amid a busy day.
In addition to these new features, Well-being Missions offer fun, interactive tasks that encourage purposeful use of technology, particularly for teens. Completing missions earns badges that reinforce mindful behaviors, helping users gradually build healthier digital routines. The page also features creator-led videos offering practical guidance on using TikTok’s well-being tools, setting screen time limits, and exploring Family Pairing features.
Building Mindful Digital Habits Through Play with new Well-being Missions
Alongside the Time and Well-being Page, TikTok is also introducing four new Well-being Missions, short and engaging tasks that help users, especially teens, use technology intentionally and build positive digital habits. Guided by research, expert insights from the Digital Wellness Lab, and feedback from TikTok’s Youth Council, these missions encourage reflection, self-awareness, and purposeful engagement.
The Sleep Hours Mission encourages users to step away from TikTok at night and meditate during Sleep Hours, growing a “Well-being Tree” over eight weeks as they complete the mission. The Daily Screen Time Mission challenges users to set and stick to a screen time limit, while the Weekly Screen Time Mission prompts reflection on weekly usage. Finally, the Well-being Ambassador Mission rewards users who invite friends to explore the missions, fostering community engagement and shared mindful practices.
Together, these missions complement the Time and Well-being Page’s five core tools, offering simple, structured ways for users to pause, reflect, and cultivate healthier, more intentional digital routines.
