Splendido Tagaytay Illuminates a Greener Christmas in its 2025 Tree Lighting Ceremony
Splendido Tagaytay Hotel and Country Club officially opened the holiday season with its first-ever Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 22. This year’s celebration was meaningful as it featured a 23-foot-tall outdoor Christmas tree—an entirely upcycled creation crafted from fallen tree branches.
The lighting of the Eco-Christmas tree was led by Hon. Lyndon Bruce, Municipal Mayor of Laurel, Batangas; Enderun Hotels Business Development Director Carlo Librea; and Resident Manager Rebecca Coquia.
The evening featured the acknowledgment of and gift-giving to the Chosen Children Village Foundation, Inc., live performances from the St. Francis Xavier Church Choir of Nasugbu, and a festive Filipino-themed dinner buffet accompanied by live entertainment.
Eco-Friendly Christmas
The event’s theme, Sustainable Christmas, came to life through a 100% upcycled Christmas tree. It is crafted entirely from fallen tree branches and carefully assembled to celebrate nature’s raw beauty. The team further enhanced the design using native Filipino materials. It includes salakot, bilao, capiz lanterns, and handwoven rattan balls—showcasing the richness of local craftsmanship and cultural heritage.
The hotel also welcomed guests with minimalist rattan Christmas trees adorned with subtle garlands that maintained the eco-centric aesthetic.
Celebrating the Season with Heart
In line with its meaningful holiday initiative, Splendido Tagaytay partnered with the Chosen Children Village Foundation, Inc. The organization is devoted to supporting abandoned, neglected, and surrendered children with mental and physical challenges.
During the program, representatives from the foundation joined the celebration for an AVP introduction, heartfelt gift-giving, and a special message from the Program Director.
