South Palms Resort & Spa Panglao – MGallery Collection has partnered with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) to build a modern, scalable and secure digital infrastructure that elevates the guest experience while strengthening the resort’s operational efficiency.
The newly developed luxury resort, which officially opened in August 2025, spans 6 hectares of pristine beachfront on Panglao Island. As the first international luxury resort in the area, South Palms Panglao MGallery offers 188 rooms and suites designed to harmonize contemporary comforts with the island’s tropical charm. With a focus on personalized service and seamless guest journeys, establishing a reliable and high-performing digital backbone became a top priority.
A Unified Digital Ecosystem for a Modern Luxury Resort
To support its hospitality ambitions, the resort selected ALE for its ability to deliver robust, high-speed connectivity across South Palms’ vast indoor and outdoor spaces—ranging from guest rooms and event facilities to beaches, pools and gardens. Working closely with the property owner, a local partner, and technology consultant Pertlink, ALE delivered a fully integrated turnkey solution that ensures uninterrupted connectivity for guests and staff alike.
The deployed technology includes the Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch® 6360 Stackable Gigabit Ethernet Switch, ALE’s Hospitality Hybrid Passive Optical LAN (POL) for high-speed and scalable network coverage, and the Alcatel-Lucent OmniAccess® Stellar Access Point WLAN portfolio designed to withstand challenging environmental conditions. The solution is complemented by powerful yet user-friendly management systems that provide a unified view of the resort’s network under a single brand.
This holistic approach further enables ALE to support future demands for the resort’s core network, Wi-Fi systems and telephony infrastructure—ensuring long-term operational agility and improved total cost of ownership (TCO).
