Sony Alpha 7 IV is now locally available, priced at PHP 149,999!


Fan of Sony shooters? As a successor of the Alpha 7 III, the a7 IV is the 4th gen of the company’s core a7 full-frame mirrorless camera model. It seems the most advanced yet, with so many upgrades for videographers and content creators.
Lightweight but sturdy magnesium alloy build
Apparently, the A7IV has a long list of features, making a significant improvement from its predecessor. In fact, it is the company’s newest full-frame camera boasting a 32MP sensor and up to 7K video recording.

On the outside, the device is built using magnesium alloy. This is to attain robustness while reducing its weight with a redesigned structure. Meanwhile, the lens lock button contributes to enhanced dust and moisture resistance.
This camera also has a 3-inch 1.03 M-dot approximately side-opening vari-angle touch-panel rear LCD monitor, top-panel REC button, and high-capacity Z-series battery. It now has a still, movie S&Q dial as well.

The A7IV sports a the larger and better 32MP full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor. Sony paired this with the company’s BIONZ XR image processing engine the same chip used in the company’s flagship Alpha 1.

The camera also comes with a wide ISO 50-204800, 15-stop dynamic range, 15-stop dynamic range, 10-bit HEIF still image format, and 10 presets + 8 parameters for “Creative Look” like Black & White and many more.
Aside from that, it features an improved autofocus system featuring 759 AF points at 94 percent of coverage with accurate AF even in low light scenarios.
The company also improved real-time Eye AF to 30 percent in terms of detection accuracy. The device has up to 10 fps with AF/AE mechanical shutter/silent shooting.

Other features of this latest Sony mirrorless camera
For videos, Sony said that the new camera has the ability to shoot full pixel readout without binning in 4K and 7K oversampling. It can record 4K 60p 10-bit 4:2:2 video and FHD 120p (to 2.5x Slow-mo in 4K, 5x in FHD).
The company added Focus Map to visualize depth of field to make the shooting experience even better. It also made switching AF to focusing with focus ring going back to AF mode automatically easier.
The Breathing Compensation of this camera is designed for a consistent angle of view when focusing and a new active mode optical image stabilization. As for the heat-dissipating structure, it allows continuous shooting for more than an hour.
The Sony Alpha 7 IV cost PHP 149,999 for the body only. The Body plus a 28-70mm Zoom Lens bundle has a price tag of PHP 159,999. Both of the packages come with a FREE 64GB SD card.
