New UT Collaboration Celebrates the 30th Anniversary of Tamagotchi
Global apparel retailer UNIQLO announces the launch of a new UT (UNIQLO T-shirt) collaboration collection featuring the digital world of Tamagotchi, the simple yet expressive virtual pet, starting November 24. The collection includes four women’s T-shirt designs which were inspired by the pixel art of the original Tamagotchi. A special website also includes UT original mini-games to enjoy. The story centers on Mametchi, who pops out from the Tamagotchi shell. Players guide Mametchi as he gathers falling items and food while wearing UT.
Product Lineup
The front features the attractive design of the first Tamagotchi. The game screen shows the character Kuchipatchi, in a design that expresses the origin of Tamagotchi in 1996.
A simple Tamagotchi logo adorns the chest, while the back has a lineup of colorful pixelated Tamagotchi. A pop design that brings together the characters Ginjirotchi, Kuchipatchi, Mametchi, Mimitchi, and Pochitchi.
The front features an embroidered design of Mametchi, who can only be encountered by those who have carefully raised their Tamagotchi. The back print design has scenes unique to their training games.
Mametchi appears in this design with a white Tamagotchi. The back print features a design with the process of raising Mametchi from an egg, a must-have for fans.
