New K-Drama Alert! ‘Our Blues’ set to stream on Netflix starting April 9
Netflix just released a teaser video of the new Korean drama Our Blues. It will star Hometown Cha Cha Cha‘s Shin Min-Ah and Mr. Sunshine‘s Lee Byung Hun.
Aside from the leading stars, the drama features an ensemble cast including Cha Seung Won, Lee Jung Eun, and Uhm Jung Hwa, Han Ji Min, and Kim Woo Bin (Shin Min-Ah’s real life boyfriend).
Our Blues is an omnibus-style drama that tells the different life stories of the different personalities and characters living in Jeju Island. It chronicles the various life stages of these people all while navigating their way around each other.
Lee Byung Hun and Shin Min Ah play Lee Dong Suk and Min Sun Ah, respectively, and their story will go around each other as they venture into life, love, and romance.
Our Blues is written by Noh Hee Kyung, which serves as her comeback drama. Furthermore, she is known for writing the critically acclaimed dramas That Winter, The Wind Blows and It’s Okay That’s Love. Kim Kyu Tae, who has worked on fan-favorite drama Scarlet Heart: Goryeo, directed the series. It will run for 20 episodes.
Aside from Noh Hee Kyung, this drama is also Kim Woo Bin’s return in television after his 5-year hiatus.
Additionally, BTS’ Jimin will be participating in the drama as an original soundtrack (OST) singer. A source from Yamyam Entertainment, the company in charge of the drama’s OST said that “since world-class group BTS’s Jimin will be joining us, we will energize the drama with a masterpiece OST song that harmonizes well with the flow of the story.”
It will premiere on tVN on April 9 and will be available for streaming on Netflix.
