MyPhone octa-core smartphone, myWX2 Pro, made more affordable
MyPhone unveiled the myWX2 series by the end of 2020. It consists of two budget smartphones — myWX2 and myWX2 Pro with a waterdrop display and cost a little less than Php 4,000.
Village Pipol unboxes the MyPhone myWX2 Pro, the octa-core version of the series, and will be sharing first impression about it.
UNBOXING/ACCESSORIES
The smartphone comes in an eco-friendly box. Inside the box are the 3,000mAh removable battery, a power adaptor, USB micro-B cable, 3.5mm headphones, and a quick start guide.
Additionally, we are provided with freebies — a MyPhone heart sticker, and a Pilipinas wonders bookmark with a message written in baybayin.
BUILD QUALITY AND DESIGN
MyPhone myWX2 Pro has a simple yet eye-catching back design made of plastic material. The color black makes it look classy but is also available in other colors — white, pink, and blue.
At the back, we can see the placement of its camera with an iPhone-ish feel, the fingerprint scanner for added security, and the iconic subtle print of the Philippine map.
DISPLAY
It sports a 6.08″ HD+ IPS Display with 720 x 1560 resolution. However, the display lacks sharpness, but quite understandable given its price point. On the other hand, we can still watch HD videos on this device.
Moreover, with its screen size, we can recommend it for those who want an online learning device.
CONNECTIVITY, AND BATTERY CAPACITY
When it comes to connectivity, this device has two SIM cards-slots capable of handling 4G LTE. In addition, you may still connect via WiFi.
This device comes with a removable battery with a 3,000mAh battery capacity. We can expect myWx2 pro to last in about 3-5 days with minimal usage, and about a day for continuous connectivity on the internet.
CAMERA
It is equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash, meanwhile, its front camera has 8-megapixel with face beauty.
Although its camera may not be the best in the market today, you can still take decent photos, and record videos using its main camera. Most importantly, we can use its front camera for decent video conferencing.
STORAGE AND MEMORY
myWX2 Pro is the upgraded version of myWX2. It runs on a 1.6GHz Octa-Core processor and powered by Android 10.
In addition, it has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM expandable up to 64 GB via a micro SD card.
AVAILABILITY AND PRICE
The MyPhone myWX2 Pro is available for an introductory price of P3,999, but starting today (March 1), it will be sold for P300 OFF. Get it for P3,699 meanwhile, myWX2 will be available for P3,399 at MyPhone outlets nationwide, and at MyPhone stores on Shopee and Lazada.
