Meet the Judges of the 7th VP Choice Awards

Recognizing excellence requires more than popularity; it demands insight, experience, and an understanding of the industries that shape culture today. For the 7th VP Choice Awards, a distinguished group of professionals from entertainment, business, technology, lifestyle, and digital media has been assembled to serve as this year’s judging panel.

Coming from different backgrounds yet united by their influence in their respective fields, these nine individuals bring credibility and perspective to the selection process. Their collective expertise ensures that the 7th VP Choice Awards continue to celebrate personalities, brands, and movements that truly resonate with audiences.

The official Judging happened on March 12, 2026.

Voting Breakdown and Criteria

For most categories, winners will be determined through a weighted system that reflects both public support and editorial evaluation.

This structure ensures that the awards remain both audience-driven and credibility-based, recognizing personalities, brands, and initiatives that truly make an impact.

To further strengthen the integrity of the selection process, Village Pipol has assembled a distinguished panel of judges composed of respected professionals from entertainment, media, business, technology, lifestyle, and digital culture. Each member of the panel brings their own experience and industry insight, contributing to a well-rounded and thoughtful evaluation of nominees.

Entertainment (TV, Movie, Music)

Leading the entertainment category is Nicole Jacinto, a seasoned radio anchor and entertainment producer with more than 30 years of experience in broadcast and recording industries. Jacinto comes from a family deeply rooted in public service and music. As the daughter of iconic musician and businessman Ramon “RJ” Jacinto, she has worked across various facets of the entertainment and music business, including concert production and retail through RJ Guitars. Her long-standing involvement in media provides a well-rounded perspective in evaluating achievements in television, film, and music.

Joining her is Jovic Susim, a former television personality and commercial model who has successfully transitioned into entrepreneurship. Today, Susim is the CEO of Rising Designs PH Incorporated, an end-to-end brand activation and fabrication company. Under his leadership, the company has executed large-scale experiential campaigns, exhibitions, and brand activations for both local and international brands. His background in entertainment and event production allows him to understand both the creative and business sides of the industry.

Completing the entertainment panel is Don Gerald Santos, a Filipino fashion designer and the CEO of Atelier Fashion Studio. Known for his work in the Philippine pageantry scene, Santos has designed for notable competitions including Miss Universe Philippines and the Miss & Mister Global Asian 2026 pageant held in Kuala Lumpur. His involvement in major pageants and collaborations with national representatives highlights his influence in fashion and visual presentation within the entertainment industry.

Tech, Travel, and Business

The categories covering technology, travel, and business will be judged by respected professionals whose work centers on innovation and industry leadership.

PJ Icogo, founder and Editor-in-Chief of GIZGUIDE.com, is widely recognized as one of the Philippines’ most trusted voices in technology journalism. With more than 13 years in the field, Icogo has covered numerous global technology conventions while providing in-depth reviews and analysis of emerging gadgets and digital trends. His expertise offers valuable insight into the ever-evolving world of tech and digital innovation.

Also joining the panel is Aiya Rodjel, founder of Sirena Public Relations. With more than a decade of experience in communications and media relations, Rodjel has established herself as a strategic PR specialist working with brands and organizations across various industries. In addition to running her boutique PR firm, she contributes to one of the country’s major national newspapers, bringing a strong understanding of media, branding, and public perception.

Completing the category is Apple Esplana-Manansala, President and CEO of The New Channel Media Corp. and co-owner and Vice President of PuzzleBox BPO Inc. A marketing and business development professional with nearly 25 years of experience, Esplana-Manansala has been active in digital media innovation and global collaboration. She also supports the creator economy through her role in the Creator and Influencers Council of the Philippines and leads initiatives that highlight Filipino talent and leadership on a global stage.

Lifestyle, VP Cover, and Social Media

Representing lifestyle and digital culture are personalities whose work continues to influence audiences online and on stage.

Rose Ariane Pearl “Rappl” Lope is a live events host, producer, and creative strategist with over a decade of experience in entertainment and content production. She previously served as Senior Content Producer for SB19, helping shape the group’s digital identity and contributing to viral music videos such as “Alab,” “Ikako,” and “What?” In recent years, she has become a sought-after host for fan conventions, mall tours, and branded events.

Jino Wilfredo Esteban, a multimedia artist and brand strategist, also joins the judging panel. A graduate of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, Esteban has collaborated with major brands including Coca-Cola Philippines, The Walt Disney Company Philippines, and SM Companies. He is also an advocate for animal welfare through his partnership with the Philippine Animal Welfare Society.

Completing the panel is Reagan Buela, popularly known online as Buraot Kween. A content creator recognized for her humorous and relatable digital content, Buela is also a licensed professional teacher and former university professor. She has been featured in several television programs and currently hosts a digital variety talk show, reflecting her growing influence in social media and online entertainment.

With their combined expertise across media, technology, business, and digital culture, the judges of the 7th VP Choice Awards bring a diverse and informed perspective to the selection process. Together, they help ensure that this year’s winners represent excellence, creativity, and impact in today’s evolving landscape.

Beyond celebrating influence and creativity, this year’s VPCA also champions advocacy, with a portion of proceeds from Facebook Stars dedicated to PAWS Philippines, a volunteer-led organization committed to the protection and humane treatment of animals, allowing voters to make an impact while supporting their favorites.

The gathering of stars will happen on April 29, at the Blueleaf Cosmopolitan Quezon City.
