Meet Mae Azores, the UST-graduate who aced the 2019 bar
A Bicolana named Mae Diane Azores clinched the number one spot in the recently announced results of the 2019 BAR. She is a graduate of Law at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Legazpi City.
She took up accountancy at the Bicol University after graduating from the UST Science High School, formerly known as the Aquinas University Science Oriented High School.
Currently, she works as a finance analyst III at the local office of the Commission on Audit (COA). Yes, she is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)! You would think she would stop upon earning that title but her pursuit for public service continued to create a drive in her to become a better citizen in her country.
Azores is, in fact, proud of her heritage as she lives at the foot of the Mt. Mayon. She had already provided a better living for her family with her achievements, including giving her father Dado his own jeepney as a mean of business.
It has always been in her grand dreams to top the BAR one day and she couldn’t be more overjoyed with this milestone. Of course, this is a testament that nothing can stop a perseverant Filipina who has a thirst for knowledge and a heart to make an impact in the society.
With a struggling economy, we know that people like Azores can contribute to a better tomorrow for Filipinos. Salute, of course!
Give her your well-wishes, everyone!
