Lily Collins stars in romantic comedy series ‘Emily In Paris’
Netflix today announced the new romantic comedy series starring Lily Collins, Emily In Paris will release exclusively on its service this fall. The said 10-episode series is created, written and executive produced by Darren Star.
“MTV Studios and I couldn’t hope for a more perfect home for Emily In Paris than Netflix. With their international reach, we are excited to share Emily with audiences around the world,” Darren Star said.
Emily In Paris: The Premise
Emily, an ambitious twenty-something marketing executive from Chicago, unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris when her company acquires a French luxury marketing company — and she is tasked with revamping their social media strategy. Emily’s new life in Paris is filled with intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges as she juggles winning over her work colleagues, making friends, and navigating new romances.
Prior to this, Lily starred in the successful series Rules Don’t Apply and To the Bone. The 31-year-old actress will also serve as one of the producers of the show. Aside from her, Emily In Paris also features Ashley Park from Mean Girls on Broadway and Tales of the City.
Filipino star Leroy Beaulieu, who appeared in Call My Agent!, will join the series together with Lucas Bravo (Smart Ass), Samuel Arnold (Antony & Cleopatra), Camille Razat (The 15:17 to Paris) and Bruno Gouery (Doc Martin).
There are also guest appearances from Kate Walsh (The Umbrella Academy), William Abadie (Resident Evil: Extinction) and Arnaud Viard (Clara et Moi)
The show features stunning costumes designs courtesy of Patricia Field of The Devil Wears Prada and Sex and the City.
Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns of Jax Media, and Andrew Fleming will serve as executive producers.
The series was filmed entirely on location in Paris and throughout France.
