La Diva reunion just gave the internet chills and nostalgia

Iconic Filipino trio La Diva reunited with their nostalgic performance in a comedy bar on a Saturday night. Members Aicelle Santos, Mariciris Garcia, and Jonalyn Viray sang their greatest hit ‘Angels Brought Me Here’, a Guy Sebastian’s original song.

In fact, GMA Network used the song as a main soundtrack in koreanovela Queen Seondeok aired in 2009.

A netizen uploaded a video of them performing the song on Facebook.

Meanwhile, fans couldn’t help but miss the iconic trio and even commented to have a reunion concert of them.

La Diva was formed in the now-defunct musical variety-show of GMA SOP in 2008. The group is composed of two winners and a runner-up of Pinoy Pop Superstar.

In 2013, Jona left the group to focus on herself as a solo artist while Aicelle and Maricris continued as duo under the same name La Diva. Despite Jona’s departure, the duo managed to guest in some GMA Network shows. However, the group officially disbanded in 2015.

As of now, Aicelle and Maricris are still under GMA Network as solo artists while Jona signed a contract in Star Music. In fact, Star Music gave her the stage name ‘Jona’ as a solo artist and singer.
